Our focus for Layers is to create a cosplay magazine, made for and by cosplayers. We want to celebrate the creativity that goes into our hobby, and inspire readers to dress up! Our magazine is full of written articles, tutorials, costume deep dives, photographs highlighting both cosplayers and cosplay photographers, and more.
Our publication does not use AI in its production. Content is submitted from the community and used with full permission, then assembled by volunteers.Â

What are we looking for?
What are we looking for?
Cosplayers willing to talk about and show off their costume(s)! We accept individual photos, galleries of 3-6 images, and WIP photos of costumes not yet complete.
Photographers willing to talk about and show off their work! We accept galleries of 3-8 images for photographers.
Writers willing to pitch ideas for (and write about) cosplay-related topics, such as personal experiences in cosplay, convention reports, product comparisons, cosplay tips and tricks, and more.
Creators looking to showcase their tutorials or pattern-making skills in order to help other cosplayers grow!
